Todd Miner Law®️ is passionate about fighting for the rights of his clients. This year, he’s also joining the fight against breast cancer. October has been designated Breast Cancer Awareness Month by the American Cancer Society.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in the United States other than skin cancer. In fact, one in eight women will develop breast cancer at some point in their lives. The prognosis for breast cancer can be optimistic if the disease is diagnosed and treated early. Millions of women are surviving this disease thanks to early detection and improvements in treatment. Detecting breast cancer early can reduce the risk of dying from the disease by 25-30% or more.
Awareness about the early detection of breast cancer is an important part of fighting this disease. Women should begin having biennial mammograms by age 40, or earlier if they have a higher cancer risk. Self-checks are also an effective way to monitor for signs of cancer in between doctor visits. Being aware of these early detections can make all the difference!
Whether you are coping with a recent diagnosis or have suffered the loss of a friend or family member, we at Todd Miner Law®️ care about you and support you. We encourage you to take action this month by scheduling a checkup, wearing a pink ribbon, or making a donation to cancer research.
Please join our firm in supporting research to find a cure. Together, we can stop breast cancer for life.
