I had a great experience with Todd Miner Law Firm. I was in a car accident the beginning of 2026 and the team took over everything so I could focus on my journey to healing and recovery. Mr. Mark Ahrens and Stephanie Velez were such great help throughout the process. I hope I won’t have a need for them again, but if I did, I would not hesitate reaching out to them.
Excellent service will work with them again thank you Courtney
I have had the most positive experience working with Todd Miner after my car accident. Specifically, Mark Ahrens has been a major help to me, I couldn’t recommend them more. Thank you for supporting me through this process!
Today I had the opportunity to speak to Todd Minor and let me tell you this man knows his stuff. He was very transparent and gave me guidance that not even Morgan and Morgan could do. This man is very unique and seems very skilled if I were you, I would hire him immediately.
Mr Miner and his attorneys are the best ever so communicative Brandon and Evonne are phenomenal they are a professional law firm I would not choose no other!I am very happy;
really nice lawyer and very helpful
I highly recommend Todd Miner Law for any of your legal needs. From the moment I spoke with Mr. Miner on the phone and all the wonderful work done on my case by attorney Mark Ahrens Esq and his paralegal Stephanie, I know I was in good hands. They cared very much about my well-being and communicated that was above everything they were working on for me, was that I healed and became well from my car accident. No job too little or too small! I am very pleased working with this law firm for over a year too. I hope I don't need them in the future; however, if I do, I know I will be asking them to represent me again.
Todd was nice, he took the time to talk to me for 20 minutes or so to help guide me in the right direction, I was recently in a car accident and it’s not major, and I was practically clueless to the steps I should take. After talking to me I now know more than before. He was very helpful with information I may need for my situation.
Mark Ahrens and Stephanie Velez were splendid in handling my case. I was absolutely pleased with their sincere efforts in getting the right result.
I WAS TREATED WITH RESPECT AND IMPORTANCE. THAT MEANS A LOT TODAY! I RECIEVED THE MAX ALLOWED AND COULDNT HAVE GOTTEN ANY MORE ANYWHERE ELSE. THESE GUYS ARE TOP SHELF AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM! THE BEST AROUND, HANDS DOWN. IF I'M EVER IN NEED AGAIN, THEY'RE MY GUYS NOW! THANK YOU, TODD MINER LAW! THEY ALSO NETWORK ANIMALS IN NEED. LIKE US. GOTTA LOVE THAT HEART! ❤️
We were involved in an escalator accident in the Atlanta airport. I had seen the commercial quite a few times, but I was never in a situation where I needed one. Last night I was chatting about this online, which I thought was a bot. It was not just a bot. it was not, it was Attorney Miner himself. The chat was to go to the walk-in clinic for the pain and to call his office to speak with Elina after we were home. I spoke with Elina, and she couldn't have been more patient with me, and so sweet and wants to be sure she gets all the answers for us. Since our accident was in Georgia, we need to have an attorney in Georgia. Attorney Miner is going to make a personal call to an attorney in Georgia himself! When I was chatting last night, I asked who I was communicating with, and it was Attorney Miner himself. I hope I never need an attorney, but if I did or anyone I know, I will always refer to Attorney Miner. You will be in good hands with Elina! If we could give more stars, we would. Thank you, Attorney Miner and Elina!
After learning my car was deemed a total loss and the driver at fault did not have enough money in property damage to cover my claim, I truly believed I was going to be losing a significant amount of money for an accident I didn't cause. Todd Miner changed my perspective completely. Todd Miner is your person to guide you through auto accident claims and make sure you are getting what's rightfully owed to you. He personally assisted me in making sure I was asking the right questions and using the correct verbiage to ensure I wasn't being taken advantage of by any insurance policies involved. I had no idea I had other options to explore, but Todd provided super clear information on how to navigate these tricky insurance claims. He saved me $$$$ (no exaggeration) all while providing easy and stress-free interactions. Todd Miner Law values their clients like none other I've experienced. Thank you, Todd!
There are a lot of commercials out there for law offices that "care", or are "looking out for YOU"....let me tell you, Todd Miner is the real deal. I called at 3:30 on a Friday afternoon before a three day holiday weekend, because after being hit from behind by a driver who had trash for insurance, their insurance company as well as my own insurance company were pressuring me to quickly agree to items before the long holiday weekend, and none of the outcomes offered were remotely acceptable. Mr. Miner himself took my call after I gave details to his very friendly and compassionate associate, and for 35 minutes on a Friday afternoon when most people would be bolting out of the office for the holiday weekend, he gave me help when he had nothing to gain from it. Other firms we called either ignored us or blew us off because they didn't have anything to gain by taking our case. If I or anyone I knew needed a personal injury attorney, calling this law firm is the first phone call I would make.
I really appreciate that Todd personally took the time of day to speak with me on the particulars of my case and advise different avenues to pursue, thank you so much!
Thank you for Attorney, Mark and Stephanie for working on my case settlement. They had done a great job for me.
Thank you to Mark Aaron's and Ms Stephanie with my case. I was hit from behind by a car with minimal insurance. I wasn't looking for a bunch of money, I just wanted the doctors paid and it would make me happy. They took care of all the bills and I still got a check. I thank you again for all of the time spent on my case and talking to me. I give them 5 stars
Mark Ahrens was super helpful and helped me through the whole process as well as Stephanie, overall 5 stars treatment
Mark Ahrens was recommend by a friend to me. I appreciate that he took the time to answer my questions. He was also personable and friendly Great experience!
I would like to thank Attorney Todd Miner for handling the accident cases for both my wife and me. We truly appreciate everything he and his team have done for us. They kept in touch throughout the process and guided us every step of the way, making everything much easier to understand. If you ever need help with an auto accident case, I highly recommend Attorney Todd Miner.
I’m very grateful to Mark Ahrens and Stephanie Velez-Raghunandan at Todd Miner for their work on my hit-and-run case. From the beginning, they stayed persistent and didn’t give up, even when things weren’t straightforward. They kept me informed throughout the process and handled everything professionally. I truly appreciate their dedication and would recommend them to anyone needing reliable legal help.
I would like to take a moment to recognize Courtney Escoffery, Pre-Suit Paralegal at Todd Miner Law, for the outstanding service provided throughout my case. Although Courtney was assigned a couple of months into my case, the level of professionalism, communication, and consistency shown from the very beginning of our interaction was truly exceptional. Every question I had was addressed promptly, and I was kept informed with regular updates, which made the entire process feel smooth and reassuring. Courtney’s dedication and attention to detail made a significant difference in my experience. I always felt supported and confident knowing my case was in capable hands. From start to finish, the service provided was nothing short of phenomenal. I am sincerely grateful for the care and effort that was put into handling my case. Thank you for making what could have been a stressful experience feel manageable and well-handled.
I had an amazing experience with Todd Miner Law after my hit and run accident. From start to finish, they made the entire process smooth, stress free, and handled everything professionally. A special thank you to Mark Ahrens and Stephanie for always keeping me updated and making sure I understood every step. They truly care about their clients and go above and beyond to get the best results. Thanks to them, I was able to receive my settlement without any headaches. I highly recommend Todd Miner Law to anyone who needs a reliable and dedicated legal team. Thank you again for everything!
Mr Miner took his time with explaining my options, even though my case can't be helped. I will take that advise. Thank you.
Priya Ramrattan and the team at Todd Miner Law took great care of me during a very challenging time. They showed genuine respect and care for me during the time they were taking care of my legal representation. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone, or use them again should I ever need legal representation in the aftermath of an accident. Ed Vasconez
I would like to say thank you to Chris McGuire, Trenton Swan, and the rest of Todd Minor Law Firm team. Thanks to them I feel like my life is back on track where it was supposed to be before the accident. If I could give them 10 stars I would.
Good communication, and I had LOTS of questions. Chris was very patient, professional and knowledgeable. He made the whole process less traumatic. Well above a mere 5 stars.
Highly recommend this legal team! After the accident we were understandably overwhelmed, but working with this team made all the difference. They were responsive, organized, and truly dedicated from start to finish. Special shout out to Chris Mcquire and Todd Miner. Everyone was always professional, easy to reach, and incredibly supportive throughout the entire process. They made sure nothing fell through the cracks and kept everything moving smoothly. My family and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. If you want a team that’s reliable, attentive, and gets results, this is the one to go with. Definitely a 5-star experience!
Excellent service! Very professional, attentive, and reliable. I highly recommend!
Excelente, me sentí muy cómodo!! Siempre me informaron sobre el caso hasta que llegó el final.
Five stars for Tod Miner Law! Ivonne was amazing to work with, she was extremely responsive and kept me informed every step of the way. They successfully got me the max settlement for my car. I’m very happy with the outcome and the level of service I received.
I texted him with a question and he called back in minutes. He took time to answer my question! He is a no- nonsense guy. Straight forward answers. If I ever need him I will hire him. Thanks
I was very impressed and happy with their handling of my case. Mr. Todd Miner called me back personally to discuss my options after I left a message on their voicemail. Mr. Mark Ahrens handled my account with empathy for me. Stephanie worked diligently on my case and medical bills. I cannot say enough good things about Todd Miner Law. If thank them for all their hard work on my behalf.
I was in an auto accident in January 2026. I contacted the Todd Miner law firm the same day of the accident. Within 5 minutes Todd Miner was on the phone with me and took almost 30 minutes out of his Saturday to speak to me about the accident. Following my conversation with Todd I had the opportunity to work with Mark Ahrens and Stephanie Velez and they went above and beyond to get everything taken care of. They answered all of my questions, kept me informed with updates, and streamlined the entire process in a way I wouldn't be able to do myself. Dealing with insurance companies can be a complex and difficult process that takes considerable time and effort. Mark and Stephanie handled everything and allowed me to focus on recovering from my injuries. I'm thankful for their help and while I hope to never be in another accident again, if I am, I wont hesitate to reach out to them again.
I simply went to Todd Miner's website and competed a text message on my situation. Todd (himself) called me and spent 20 minutes discussing my situation even though he isn't representing me. That is unbelievable that in today's society someone is actually willing to help and listen!! If there was a 10 star rating I would give it to him. Easily understood and the advice was solid. Thanks Todd for your time and help! It was truly needed.
Todd Minor is a stand up man, he's honest, fair, very protective of his clients and professional. I had a case with him regarding my minor & during the inquiry process he reached out himself multiple times assuring me that we would be in good hands & I'll just say this he himself holds good on his promises & commitment.
I was referred to Tod Minor Law by a friend of mine, and was very glad i followed through with them for my auto accident claim. Chris was the head communicator for my claim and arranged everything for my rehab and chiropractor appointments. highly reccomend!
I contacted this law office after I was involved in an accident, and I’m very glad I did. From the beginning, everyone was attentive and patient, taking the time to listen carefully to my situation. The paralegal, Stephanie, was especially kind and kept in regular communication with me throughout the process. Both she and the attorney, Mark, clearly explained what to expect, which helped ease my worries. Since this was my first injury case in Florida, their guidance made a big difference and allowed me to focus on my recovery. My case did take some time, but in the end, I was able to receive compensation for the accident. When I met Mark in person, he was a true gentleman who genuinely cares about his clients. I highly recommend this law office!
I am giving Todd Miner Law five stars – the most one can receive in these reviews. If it were possible, I would score his firm much higher, based on my personal experience with him and his team. Without going into great detail, I was struck by a car and my left leg was injured. After being treated at the local ER, along with other instructions, I was advised to follow-up with my Primary Care Physician. It was when I attempted to make that appointment that I quickly learned my doctor, and many others, will not treat vehicle accident patients. This made getting the treatment I needed after leaving the ER a struggle at best. That’s when I decided I needed help, and I reached out to Todd Miner’s office. In less than 30 minutes, Todd Miner himself called me. He listened to me and then told me he and his team would take good care of me … and they did. I think it was that afternoon that Mark Ahrens, Esq. reached out to me. In less than a week, thanks to their help and intervention, I was seen by a Physician who ordered the tests necessary to determine exactly what was wrong with my leg and what treatment I needed. Unfortunately, the test results showed surgery was required. Throughout this process, surgery, weeks of physical therapy, follow-up appointments, etc. Marc and his team were with me every step of the way. My well-being and recovery were as much a priority for them as it was for me. They consistently communicated with me - keeping me updated and informed as my case moved forward. I also have to commend Stephanie Velez-Raghunandan who works with Marc. She too was in constant communication with me and quick to respond to any questions or concerns I had. Todd Miner and his team exceeded my expectations. Calling his office was the best decision I could have made for myself and my family. I highly recommend Todd Miner Law. Todd and his team really are “on your side” and will take great care of you.
Hi, I have to say that Mark Ahrens and Stephanie, his assistant, were excellent helping me with my settlement. They fought hard for me for which I am grateful and I highly recommend them.
Stephanie and Mark were great. They worked extremely hard on my case and kept me informed every step of the way..
Trustworthy, honest, experienced. Communication at the start was lacking, but toward end it got better.
As a criminal defense lawyer who owns his own firm, I have referred many of my clients to Todd Miner who needed a personal injury attorney. Todd is an amazing lawyer and has an incredible staff. His office personnel is extremely friendly and professional. What I respect about Todd the most is I can text or call him on a Saturday afternoon, And he will immediately respond. He will call the potential clients himself right away and tell thoroughly evaluate their cases. I highly recommend him and his team of exceptionally talented lawyers and support staff!!!
Mark Ahrens at Todd Miner Law Firm was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and professional throughout the entire process. He took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly and made sure I understood every step. I truly appreciated his expertise and would highly recommend him to anyone in need of legal assistance.
My experience in March 2025 with Attorney Todd Miner was very good! His staff, Jennifer was always supportive and helpful, eager to answer questions or concerns. I would highly recommend this attorney office. Blessings continuously to this Attorney office and staff.
Thank you for helping me in the past with the employer who left me in the hospital injured, alone, and unwilling to take care of my hospital bills.
I am writing this review of Todd Miner Law so the public can get a perspective of an actual client’s experience following a car accident. My wife and I were hit by a driver resulting in our car rolling over two times. Medical questions aside, the trauma of the legal aspects after this accident were troubling. Being new to the state of Florida, we had no legal representation. One only has to watch television to see the various alternatives that are available to you. That being said, Todd Miner was the one that showed an interest in assisting us no matter what the possible outcome might be. To be honest, we were sort of lost in all the details that started to arise and needed help. Todd Miner came to the rescue. Attorney, Mark Aherns and his assistant, Stephanie Valez-Raghunandan were terrific in handling all the details that needed solved. My wife and I are grateful for their assistance; without them we would never have been able to reach this point of conclusion. Thank you, Todd, Mark, and Stephanie. We recommend them highly to anyone in need.

Why You Need an Orlando Uber Accident Lawyer for Your Case?

Contact Top Uber Accident Attorneys in Orlando Today – Todd Miner Law (1)At Todd Miner Law, our Orlando Uber accident attorneys protect your rights, handle insurers, and ensure you meet Florida’s legal deadlines. Without an experienced lawyer, you risk low settlements or, even worse, insurers twisting your words against you. That’s why we gather strong evidence, negotiate aggressively, and, if necessary, take your case to court—so you recover what you rightfully deserve.

Below are some of the reasons why you must have an Uber accident attorney on your side:

  • Determining Liability Isn’t Always Simple

Uber accidents are legally complex. Multiple parties may be responsible, including the Uber driver, another motorist, a pedestrian, or even Uber itself. Figuring out who should pay isn’t always straightforward.

Uber classifies its drivers as independent contractors, making it harder to hold the company accountable. Insurers take advantage of this, shifting blame and denying claims to avoid payouts. Without legal help, you could end up fighting a losing battle.

At Todd Miner Law, we cut through the confusion. We investigate the accident, determine liability, and hold the right parties accountable—so you don’t get stuck paying for someone else’s mistake.

  • Insurers Will Push for a Low Settlement

Even if an insurance company admits fault, they won’t pay you what you truly deserve. Instead, they’ll push a quick, lowball settlement before you fully grasp the extent of your injuries—counting on you to feel pressured into accepting far less than you need for your recovery.

Don’t fall for it. Once you agree to a settlement, you can’t go back and ask for more. Many injuries take weeks or months to show their full impact. If you settle too soon, you could be stuck paying for medical bills, lost wages, and long-term care out of pocket.

At Todd Miner Law, our Uber accident lawyers in Orlando fight for maximum compensation. We gather medical evidence, handle insurers, and push back against insurers’ unfair tactics—so you don’t settle for less.

  • Insurance Companies Delay, Deny, and Shift Blame

Insurance companies do anything to pay you less. They delay claims, deny responsibility, and shift blame—all to avoid a fair payout. They count on you feeling frustrated and giving up.

Without an experienced lawyer for Uber accident on your side, you could spend months fighting against the insurance companies with no progress. They may ignore your calls, dispute your injuries, or insist someone else is at fault.

At Todd Miner Law, we cut through the delays, build strong cases, and demand what you’re owed. While we handle the insurers, you focus on healing. You don’t have to fight this alone.

  • Litigation May Be Necessary for Fair Compensation

You have the right to full compensation for your injuries, but insurance companies often try to avoid paying what you deserve. If they refuse to pay what you’re owed, going to court may be the only way to get justice.

Many law firms avoid trial. We don’t. At Todd Miner Law, we prepare every case as if it’s going to court—right from the start. This aggressive approach puts pressure on insurers and often leads to higher settlements. If they still won’t pay, we take them to court and aggressively fight for every dollar you rightfully deserve.

When insurers refuse to do what’s right, we make sure they don’t get the last word. Call 407-894-1480 today for a free case review. Let us fight for the compensation you deserve.

When Uber’s $1M Liability Coverage Applies?

Uber’s $1 million liability coverage kicks in when the driver is actively transporting a passenger or heading to a pickup. If the Uber driver is awaiting a ride request, Uber offers limited insurance coverage. When the driver is offline, only their personal auto insurance applies.

In Florida, Personal Injury Protection (PIP) covers up to $10,000 for medical expenditures and lost wages. However, when injuries are severe, or damages exceed PIP limits, you can pursue compensation through Uber’s insurance.

Unfortunately, insurers often delay claims, dispute liability, or offer low settlements. An Orlando Uber accident lawyer at Todd Miner Law can push back, negotiate aggressively, and fight for the maximum compensation you deserve.

When the Uber Driver’s Personal Insurance is Responsible?

If the Uber driver was offline or not logged into the app, their personal auto insurance must cover the accident. Since Uber denies responsibility, you must deal directly with the driver’s insurer.

However, most personal policies exclude rideshare-related crashes, leading to denied claims and unpaid damages.

This loophole creates frustrating challenges when seeking compensation. Without the right legal approach, you risk delays or low payouts. At Todd Miner Law, our Uber attorneys:

  • Identify coverage gaps
  • Challenge insurance denials
  • Fight to ensure you don’t pay for someone else’s negligence

Who Pays When a Third-Party Driver is at Fault?

If a third-party driver caused your Uber accident in Florida, their bodily injury liability (BIL) coverage should pay for your damages. You may pursue a third-party claim to recover medical expenses, lost wages, and property damage. However, Florida does not mandate drivers to carry BIL coverage, meaning the at-fault driver may be uninsured or underinsured.

If the at-fault driver lacks coverage or their policy does not fully compensate you, Uber’s uninsured/underinsured motorist (UM/UIM) coverage may apply.

However, Uber’s UM/UIM policy is not always guaranteed as Florida law does not mandate rideshare companies to provide UM/UIM coverage. That’s why it is recommended to consult an Uber lawyer to know your best option to recover your damages

What If a Manufacturer or a Government Entity is At Fault?

Sometimes, an Uber accident happens because of a vehicle defect or unsafe road conditions. In these cases, the responsible party may be:

  • Vehicle manufacturer – If faulty brakes, airbags, or steering failures caused the crash, the manufacturer may be liable under product liability laws.
  • A government entity – If potholes, missing traffic signs, or broken signals contributed to the accident, the city or municipality may be at fault.

Remember that in Florida, you have a limited window to file these claims. Hence, make sure to reach out to an Uber accident lawyer promptly to make sure you meet all deadlines and follow the best legal recourse.

Why Uber Accidents Are More Legally Complex than Regular Car Crashes?

Uber accidents tend to be more complicated than typical car collisions because you must deal with multiple insurance policies, independent contractor drivers, and unclear liability. As a result, insurers may dispute your claim, delay payouts, and minimize your settlement. That’s why having an Uber accident lawyer on your side is crucial to securing full compensation.

Uber Avoids Liability by Classifying Drivers as Independent Contractors

Uber considers its drivers as independent contractors to avoid direct responsibility for accidents. Instead of covering damages, the company shifts the blame to the driver and forces victims to deal with insurers alone.

However, vicarious liability laws can hold Uber accountable under certain conditions, including:

  • The driver was actively transporting a passenger at the time of the accident.
  • The driver was on the way to pick up a passenger when the crash occurred.
  • Uber’s negligence contributed to the accident, such as failing to conduct proper background checks or allowing unsafe drivers on the platform.

Filing an Uber Accident Claim Involves Multiple Insurance Policies

Uber accidents involve multiple insurance policies, making the claims process complex. In Florida, Personal Injury Protection (PIP) requires you to file a claim with your own insurer first. If your damages exceed PIP limits, you might have to seek extra compensation from other sources.

Depending on the circumstances, you may also need to:

  • Lodge a third-party claim if another driver was responsible for the accident.
  • Use the Uber driver’s personal policy if they were offline at the time.
  • Seek coverage through Uber’s insurance if the driver was actively accepting or transporting passengers.

Since each case is different, determining which claim to file and how to maximize your payout can be difficult. Consulting an Orlando FL Uber accident lawyer is the best way to get the compensation that is rightfully yours.

Florida Law Regulates How Uber Accidents Are Handled

Florida sets strict insurance requirements for rideshare companies. When an Uber driver is available for rides, they must carry at least $50,000 in bodily injury coverage per person and $100,000 per accident. If they are transporting a passenger, Uber’s $1 million policy applies.

However, insurance companies look for ways to deny or reduce payouts. They may dispute coverage, delay claims, or misinterpret the law to limit your compensation. Since Uber accidents follow different legal rules than regular car crashes, filing a claim can be challenging.

Florida’s rideshare laws are complex, and insurers will use them against you. It’s best to have a local Florida Uber accident lawyer who understands how to fight back. Call Todd Miner Law at 407-894-1480 now for a free case review.

Prioritize your health immediately after an Uber accident. Check yourself, passengers, and others for injuries, and call 911 if anyone needs medical help. Even if you feel fine, see a doctor as soon as possible.

Many injuries, such as whiplash, concussions, and internal trauma, develop hours or even days later. If you delay treatment, your condition may worsen, leading to long-term health issues and higher medical costs.

Additionally, insurance companies use delayed medical care to dispute injury claims, arguing that your injuries weren’t serious or accident-related.

Step 2: Call the Police

A police report serves as official evidence in your accident claim. Officers will document critical details, including statements from all involved parties, road conditions, and any apparent violations. This report can determine fault, helping you in insurance claims and potential legal action.

If you don’t call the police, you may lack crucial proof of the accident, making it harder to hold the responsible party accountable. Without an official report, insurance companies might dispute your claim or reduce your compensation.

Step 3: Gather Evidence

You must collect evidence to prove fault and secure fair compensation. Strong evidence strengthens your case and prevents false claims.

Take clear photos of vehicle damage, skid marks, traffic signals, and visible injuries. If possible, also get the Uber driver’s name, insurance details, and trip confirmation from the app.

In addition, witness statements can play a key role in proving what happened. Get contact information from anyone who saw the crash before they leave. Missing this step can result in a lack of supporting evidence, making it harder to prove fault.

Step 4: Report the Accident to Uber

Uber requires accident reports, but be careful with what you say. Use the app to report the crash, but avoid admitting fault or guessing the cause. Any misstatement can be used against you in a claim.

If you skip this step, Uber may deny involvement, and its insurance coverage might not apply. Sticking to the facts ensures the company has a record of the incident without jeopardizing your case.

Step 5: Protect Your Rights with an Uber Accident Lawyer

Insurance companies aim to minimize payouts. Without legal representation, you may settle for far less than you deserve. An experienced Uber accident lawyer handles all communications, negotiates aggressively, and fights for maximum compensation.

Missing this step leaves you vulnerable to low settlement offers that fail to cover medical expenses, lost wages, and long-term damages. An Uber accident lawyer ensures your rights are upheld and that you get the compensation you need to recover.

Still unsure what to do if your Uber crashes? Let our experienced attorneys at Todd Miner Law steer your case toward the compensation you deserve!

What Should You Do if You’re Injured as an Uber Passenger?

If you’re injured as an Uber passenger, you must report the accident immediately. Since passengers are rarely at fault, you may be eligible for compensation through Uber’s insurance or the at-fault driver’s policy.

Report the crash through Uber’s app and ensure the police file an official report. Get checked by a doctor, as hidden injuries can worsen later.

Moreover, insurance companies often try to decrease payouts, so consulting an experienced Uber accident lawyer can assist in protecting your rights and maximizing your compensation.

Are Uber Passengers Covered Under Uber’s Insurance?

Yes, Uber provides insurance coverage for passengers injured in an accident during a ride. Uber’s insurance applies from the moment you enter the vehicle until you reach your destination, regardless of who caused the crash.

However, the claims process can be overwhelming due to complex insurance policies, lengthy investigations, and potential disputes over liability. Insurance companies often investigate claims closely, looking for ways to minimize payouts.

Understanding your rights and the coverage available is crucial. If you encounter challenges, an experienced Orlando Uber accident lawyer at Todd Miner Law can assist you in navigating the process and fighting for fair compensation.

What If You Were Injured During an Uber Ride with a Shared or Pool Option?

In an Uber Pool accident, liability is complex due to multiple passengers, shared routes, and third-party involvement. Unlike standard rides, your claim depends on how the accident happened and how Uber’s insurance prioritizes multiple claims.

If another passenger’s actions contributed—such as distracting the driver—Uber’s insurer may argue shared liability. Gathering trip records, witness statements, and legal guidance is crucial.

Being injured as an Uber passenger can upend your life—unexpected bills, missed work, and the stress of knowing your legal rights. At Todd Miner Law, our Uber accident attorneys support you every step of the way and advocate for the justice and compensation you truly deserve! What If an Uber Driver Hits Your Car?

If your vehicle is hit by an Uber driver, act fast. First, call the police and file a report—this serves as key evidence for your claim. Next, notify your insurer, but be cautious when speaking with Uber’s insurance, as they may try to minimize liability. Also, report the crash to Uber through their app to create an official record.

Evidence is critical to protecting your claim. Therefore, take clear photos of the scene, vehicle damage, and any visible injuries. Gather witness contact details and exchange information with the Uber driver. Most importantly, confirm whether they were logged into the app at the time—this determines which insurance policy applies.

Lastly, Uber’s legal team and insurers are trained to minimize payouts. Without legal representation, you risk receiving less than you deserve. An experienced Uber accident lawyer can handle negotiations, fight insurance tactics, and ensure you recover full and fair compensation.

How State Laws Impact Your Claim Against an Uber Driver?

State laws determine how you can seek compensation if an Uber driver hits your car. The process depends on whether your state follows a fault or no-fault system and the driver’s status at the time of the crash.

In no-fault states like Florida, your PIP insurance covers medical expenses regardless of fault. However, you can only sue the Uber driver if your injuries meet the serious injury threshold set by state law.

In at-fault states, the driver’s personal insurance or Uber’s policy may cover your damages. If the Uber driver was on a trip, Uber’s $1 million liability coverage might apply, but state laws determine coverage limits.

Furthermore, every state imposes a deadline for lodging accident claims, known as the statute of limitations. Missing this deadline could result in losing your right to pursue compensation.

If an Uber driver hits your car, the road to compensation can feel like a maze of insurance disputes and legal roadblocks. At Todd Miner Law, our Uber accident lawyers clear the path, fighting aggressively to get you the full compensation you deserve. Call us now at 407-894-1480 for a free consultation, and let’s win this fight together!

What If You’re an Uber Driver Injured on the Job in Orlando, FL?

If you’re an Uber driver injured on the job in Orlando, FL, your coverage depends on your ride status at the time of the crash. Uber offers up to $1 million in insurance coverage if you were carrying a passenger or on your way to a pickup.

Since Uber classifies drivers as independent contractors, you don’t qualify for workers’ compensation. However, if your injuries exceed Florida’s serious injury threshold, Uber’s insurance may cover your medical expenses and lost wages.

Will Uber Optional Injury Protection Help You?

Uber’s Optional Injury Protection may cover medical expenses, disability payments, and lost wages, regardless of fault. However, not all drivers enroll, and the benefits have limits. If your damages exceed this coverage, you may need to rely on Uber’s standard insurance or pursue legal action for full compensation.

If you were injured while actively driving for Uber, review your policy details carefully. This protection may not fully cover long-term medical costs or lost income. In that case, an Uber accident lawyer at Todd Miner Law can:

  • Analyze your policy and identify coverage gaps.
  • Determine all possible sources of compensation.
  • Handle insurance negotiations and fight for maximum payout.

Will Uber Deactivate You Even If You Were Not At Fault?

Yes, Uber has the right to deactivate drivers after an accident, even if they were not at fault. The company may temporarily suspend your account while investigating the crash, leaving you without income during the review process.

In some cases, Uber permanently deactivates drivers if the accident caused serious injuries, major vehicle damage, or multiple safety complaints. Even if you were not responsible, Uber may still remove you from the platform based on its internal safety policies.

If Uber unfairly deactivates you, our Uber accident attorneys at Todd Miner Law can help. We can challenge wrongful deactivation, appeal Uber’s decision, and fight to recover lost earnings so you can move forward.

What If You Were Partially at Fault for the Accident?

Even if you were partially at fault, you may still recover compensation under Florida’s modified comparative negligence rule. However, your payout will be decreased based on your percentage of fault. If you are more than 50% responsible, you cannot recover damages.

Insurance companies often attempt to place more blame onto drivers to minimize payouts. For example, they may claim you were speeding, distracted, or could have avoided the crash. Without strong legal representation, you risk losing a significant portion of your compensation—or being denied completely.

At Todd Miner Law, our Uber accident lawyers collaborate with accident reconstruction specialists to examine crash reports, examine vehicle damage, and prove what really happened. We challenge unfair fault claims, negotiate aggressively with insurers, and fight for the maximum compensation you’re entitled to.

How Uber’s Insurance Policy Works & When You’re Covered?

Uber’s insurance coverage isn’t one-size-fits-all—it depends on what the driver was doing at the time of the crash. If the driver is offline, Uber provides zero coverage, leaving the driver’s personal insurance responsible.

If the driver is online but waiting for a ride, Uber offers limited liability coverage. But once a trip is in progress, Uber’s $1 million policy kicks in, along with uninsured motorist protection and collision coverage.

Understanding Uber’s insurance policy is crucial if you’re involved in an accident. Here’s a breakdown of coverage levels and when they apply:unnamed (2)

Can You Appeal Uber’s Claim Denial?

Yes! If Uber denies your claim, you have the right to appeal. Start by contacting Uber’s customer support through the app and providing detailed evidence, such as photos, witness statements, or communication logs.

If the denial involves a background check issue, you may need to dispute it directly with the background check provider. However, if Uber refuses to reconsider, legal options like filing a lawsuit may be necessary to fight for the compensation you deserve.

Can Uber’s Arbitration Clause Impact Your Insurance Claim?

Yes, Uber’s arbitration clause can affect your ability to dispute a denied or undervalued insurance claim. When you agree to Uber’s terms, you often waive your right to file a lawsuit, meaning claim disputes must go through arbitration.

This process is usually less favorable to victims, as arbitration decisions often benefit large corporations. However, some cases may still qualify for litigation. Consulting an experienced Uber accident lawyer can assist you in comprehending your rights and exploring the best legal path for fair compensation.

What Are the Common Causes of Uber Accidents?

Uber accidents often happen due to driver negligence, poor vehicle maintenance, or external hazards. Whether caused by an Uber driver, another motorist, or unsafe road conditions, these crashes can result in serious injuries.

Below are some of the most common causes:

  • Distracted Driving – Uber drivers frequently rely on GPS, accept rides, or talk to passengers while driving. Even a minor distraction can result in a serious crash.
Fatigue & Drowsy Driving – Long hours behind the wheel cause exhaustion and slower reaction times. As a result, fatigued drivers struggle to make quick decisions, increasing the risk of accidents.
Speeding & Reckless Driving – Some Uber drivers speed or take dangerous risks to complete more trips. Consequently, this aggressive behavior endangers passengers, pedestrians, and other motorists.
Inexperienced or Poorly Trained Drivers – Some drivers lack experience navigating heavy traffic or hazardous weather. Their inability to handle difficult conditions makes accidents more likely.
  • Violation of Traffic Laws – Disregarding traffic signals, neglecting to yield, and making unsafe lane changes are common violations. These reckless actions frequently lead to crashes involving Uber vehicles.
  • Unsafe Pickup & Drop-off Locations – Stopping in busy intersections, bike lanes, or illegal zones creates dangerous situations. It puts passengers, cyclists, and other drivers at risk of collisions.
Vehicle Defects & Poor Maintenance – Many Uber drivers use personal vehicles that may not receive proper upkeep. Worn brakes, tire blowouts, or engine failures can cause avoidable accidents.

If you were injured in an Uber accident, you need experienced legal representation. Todd Miner Law can investigate your case, establish liability, and advocate for the compensation you rightfully deserve. Reach out to us today for a free case review!

What Damages Can You Recover in an Uber Accident Claim?

In an Uber accident claim, you can recover compensation for medical expenses, lost wages, and property damage. You may also pursue compensation for agony resulting from the crash.

If the accident causes severe injuries or a fatality, you may be eligible for long-term disability benefits or wrongful death compensation. However, the amount you recover depends on several key factors, including:

  • The severity of your injuries and required medical treatment
  • How the accident affects your daily life and ability to work
  • Determining who is liable and whether negligence played a role

Severe injuries typically result in greater compensation, especially if they require long-term care or prevent you from returning to work. If you suffer permanent disability or significant financial loss, your claim may include future lost earnings and rehabilitation costs. Additionally, if Uber or another party displayed gross negligence, you may qualify for punitive damages.

What Is Your Claim Worth for a Rib Fracture in an Uber Accident?

Settlement amounts for a rib fracture in an Uber accident usually range from $2,000 to $10,000, depending on factors like medical costs, lost income, and pain and suffering. Since fractures meet Florida’s serious injury threshold, you may qualify for compensation beyond PIP coverage.

Furthermore, if your injury leads to chronic pain, reduced lung function, or long-term complications, your settlement may increase. In addition, PTSD, anxiety, or emotional trauma can further raise your claim’s value.

Will Pre-Existing Injuries Affect Your Uber Settlement?

Yes, pre-existing injuries can impact your Uber accident settlement, but they don’t disqualify you. Insurers often try to downplay your claim by arguing that your injuries existed before the crash. However, if the accident worsens your condition, you can still recover compensation.

At Todd Miner Law, our Uber accident lawyers thoroughly investigate your case to prove how the crash aggravated your condition. We gather medical records, consult specialists, and use expert testimony to strengthen your claim. Furthermore, our team resists insurance tactics, negotiates aggressively, and, if necessary, takes your case to court to fight for the full compensation you deserve.

What Is the Statute of Limitations for Filing an Uber Accident Lawsuit in Orlando?

In Orlando, Florida law gives you up to two years from the date of the accident to initiate a lawsuit against Uber. However, certain claims have shorter deadlines, making it critical to act quickly.

If the accident led to wrongful death, the victim’s family must file a claim within two years from the date of death. On the other hand, if the crash involved a government vehicle or hazardous road conditions caused by a public entity, you must submit written notice within six months before filing a lawsuit.

Filing against a government entity brings additional legal challenges. For instance, sovereign immunity laws may limit compensation. Moreover, you must send a formal notice of intent, which gives the agency six months to investigate before you can sue. Even minor mistakes can result in a denied claim.

How Long Does an Uber Accident Claim Take to Resolve?

The duration of an Uber accident claim settlement varies based on multiple factors. For simple cases with minor injuries and clear liability, settlements typically resolve within 3-6 months. However, for more serious cases, where injuries require long-term medical treatment or liability is disputed, the process can take 1-2 years or longer.

The length of your case often depends on how quickly medical treatment is completed and damages are fully assessed. If you sustained serious injuries, your attorney may delay negotiations until you achieve maximum medical improvement (MMI), ensuring you receive full compensation for long-term costs. Additionally, if Uber’s insurance provider disputes liability or delays payment, negotiations and legal action can extend the process.
