I had a great experience with Todd Miner Law Firm. I was in a car accident the beginning of 2026 and the team took over everything so I could focus on my journey to healing and recovery. Mr. Mark Ahrens and Stephanie Velez were such great help throughout the process. I hope I won’t have a need for them again, but if I did, I would not hesitate reaching out to them.
Excellent service will work with them again thank you Courtney
I have had the most positive experience working with Todd Miner after my car accident. Specifically, Mark Ahrens has been a major help to me, I couldn’t recommend them more. Thank you for supporting me through this process!
Today I had the opportunity to speak to Todd Minor and let me tell you this man knows his stuff. He was very transparent and gave me guidance that not even Morgan and Morgan could do. This man is very unique and seems very skilled if I were you, I would hire him immediately.
Mr Miner and his attorneys are the best ever so communicative Brandon and Evonne are phenomenal they are a professional law firm I would not choose no other!I am very happy;
really nice lawyer and very helpful
I highly recommend Todd Miner Law for any of your legal needs. From the moment I spoke with Mr. Miner on the phone and all the wonderful work done on my case by attorney Mark Ahrens Esq and his paralegal Stephanie, I know I was in good hands. They cared very much about my well-being and communicated that was above everything they were working on for me, was that I healed and became well from my car accident. No job too little or too small! I am very pleased working with this law firm for over a year too. I hope I don't need them in the future; however, if I do, I know I will be asking them to represent me again.
Todd was nice, he took the time to talk to me for 20 minutes or so to help guide me in the right direction, I was recently in a car accident and it’s not major, and I was practically clueless to the steps I should take. After talking to me I now know more than before. He was very helpful with information I may need for my situation.
Mark Ahrens and Stephanie Velez were splendid in handling my case. I was absolutely pleased with their sincere efforts in getting the right result.
I WAS TREATED WITH RESPECT AND IMPORTANCE. THAT MEANS A LOT TODAY! I RECIEVED THE MAX ALLOWED AND COULDNT HAVE GOTTEN ANY MORE ANYWHERE ELSE. THESE GUYS ARE TOP SHELF AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM! THE BEST AROUND, HANDS DOWN. IF I'M EVER IN NEED AGAIN, THEY'RE MY GUYS NOW! THANK YOU, TODD MINER LAW! THEY ALSO NETWORK ANIMALS IN NEED. LIKE US. GOTTA LOVE THAT HEART! ❤️
We were involved in an escalator accident in the Atlanta airport. I had seen the commercial quite a few times, but I was never in a situation where I needed one. Last night I was chatting about this online, which I thought was a bot. It was not just a bot. it was not, it was Attorney Miner himself. The chat was to go to the walk-in clinic for the pain and to call his office to speak with Elina after we were home. I spoke with Elina, and she couldn't have been more patient with me, and so sweet and wants to be sure she gets all the answers for us. Since our accident was in Georgia, we need to have an attorney in Georgia. Attorney Miner is going to make a personal call to an attorney in Georgia himself! When I was chatting last night, I asked who I was communicating with, and it was Attorney Miner himself. I hope I never need an attorney, but if I did or anyone I know, I will always refer to Attorney Miner. You will be in good hands with Elina! If we could give more stars, we would. Thank you, Attorney Miner and Elina!
After learning my car was deemed a total loss and the driver at fault did not have enough money in property damage to cover my claim, I truly believed I was going to be losing a significant amount of money for an accident I didn't cause. Todd Miner changed my perspective completely. Todd Miner is your person to guide you through auto accident claims and make sure you are getting what's rightfully owed to you. He personally assisted me in making sure I was asking the right questions and using the correct verbiage to ensure I wasn't being taken advantage of by any insurance policies involved. I had no idea I had other options to explore, but Todd provided super clear information on how to navigate these tricky insurance claims. He saved me $$$$ (no exaggeration) all while providing easy and stress-free interactions. Todd Miner Law values their clients like none other I've experienced. Thank you, Todd!
There are a lot of commercials out there for law offices that "care", or are "looking out for YOU"....let me tell you, Todd Miner is the real deal. I called at 3:30 on a Friday afternoon before a three day holiday weekend, because after being hit from behind by a driver who had trash for insurance, their insurance company as well as my own insurance company were pressuring me to quickly agree to items before the long holiday weekend, and none of the outcomes offered were remotely acceptable. Mr. Miner himself took my call after I gave details to his very friendly and compassionate associate, and for 35 minutes on a Friday afternoon when most people would be bolting out of the office for the holiday weekend, he gave me help when he had nothing to gain from it. Other firms we called either ignored us or blew us off because they didn't have anything to gain by taking our case. If I or anyone I knew needed a personal injury attorney, calling this law firm is the first phone call I would make.
I really appreciate that Todd personally took the time of day to speak with me on the particulars of my case and advise different avenues to pursue, thank you so much!
Thank you for Attorney, Mark and Stephanie for working on my case settlement. They had done a great job for me.
Thank you to Mark Aaron's and Ms Stephanie with my case. I was hit from behind by a car with minimal insurance. I wasn't looking for a bunch of money, I just wanted the doctors paid and it would make me happy. They took care of all the bills and I still got a check. I thank you again for all of the time spent on my case and talking to me. I give them 5 stars
Mark Ahrens was super helpful and helped me through the whole process as well as Stephanie, overall 5 stars treatment
Mark Ahrens was recommend by a friend to me. I appreciate that he took the time to answer my questions. He was also personable and friendly Great experience!
I would like to thank Attorney Todd Miner for handling the accident cases for both my wife and me. We truly appreciate everything he and his team have done for us. They kept in touch throughout the process and guided us every step of the way, making everything much easier to understand. If you ever need help with an auto accident case, I highly recommend Attorney Todd Miner.
I’m very grateful to Mark Ahrens and Stephanie Velez-Raghunandan at Todd Miner for their work on my hit-and-run case. From the beginning, they stayed persistent and didn’t give up, even when things weren’t straightforward. They kept me informed throughout the process and handled everything professionally. I truly appreciate their dedication and would recommend them to anyone needing reliable legal help.
I would like to take a moment to recognize Courtney Escoffery, Pre-Suit Paralegal at Todd Miner Law, for the outstanding service provided throughout my case. Although Courtney was assigned a couple of months into my case, the level of professionalism, communication, and consistency shown from the very beginning of our interaction was truly exceptional. Every question I had was addressed promptly, and I was kept informed with regular updates, which made the entire process feel smooth and reassuring. Courtney’s dedication and attention to detail made a significant difference in my experience. I always felt supported and confident knowing my case was in capable hands. From start to finish, the service provided was nothing short of phenomenal. I am sincerely grateful for the care and effort that was put into handling my case. Thank you for making what could have been a stressful experience feel manageable and well-handled.
I had an amazing experience with Todd Miner Law after my hit and run accident. From start to finish, they made the entire process smooth, stress free, and handled everything professionally. A special thank you to Mark Ahrens and Stephanie for always keeping me updated and making sure I understood every step. They truly care about their clients and go above and beyond to get the best results. Thanks to them, I was able to receive my settlement without any headaches. I highly recommend Todd Miner Law to anyone who needs a reliable and dedicated legal team. Thank you again for everything!
Mr Miner took his time with explaining my options, even though my case can't be helped. I will take that advise. Thank you.
Priya Ramrattan and the team at Todd Miner Law took great care of me during a very challenging time. They showed genuine respect and care for me during the time they were taking care of my legal representation. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone, or use them again should I ever need legal representation in the aftermath of an accident. Ed Vasconez
I would like to say thank you to Chris McGuire, Trenton Swan, and the rest of Todd Minor Law Firm team. Thanks to them I feel like my life is back on track where it was supposed to be before the accident. If I could give them 10 stars I would.
Good communication, and I had LOTS of questions. Chris was very patient, professional and knowledgeable. He made the whole process less traumatic. Well above a mere 5 stars.
Highly recommend this legal team! After the accident we were understandably overwhelmed, but working with this team made all the difference. They were responsive, organized, and truly dedicated from start to finish. Special shout out to Chris Mcquire and Todd Miner. Everyone was always professional, easy to reach, and incredibly supportive throughout the entire process. They made sure nothing fell through the cracks and kept everything moving smoothly. My family and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. If you want a team that’s reliable, attentive, and gets results, this is the one to go with. Definitely a 5-star experience!
Excellent service! Very professional, attentive, and reliable. I highly recommend!

Five stars for Tod Miner Law! Ivonne was amazing to work with, she was extremely responsive and kept me informed every step of the way. They successfully got me the max settlement for my car. I’m very happy with the outcome and the level of service I received.
I texted him with a question and he called back in minutes. He took time to answer my question! He is a no- nonsense guy. Straight forward answers. If I ever need him I will hire him. Thanks
I was very impressed and happy with their handling of my case. Mr. Todd Miner called me back personally to discuss my options after I left a message on their voicemail. Mr. Mark Ahrens handled my account with empathy for me. Stephanie worked diligently on my case and medical bills. I cannot say enough good things about Todd Miner Law. If thank them for all their hard work on my behalf.
I was in an auto accident in January 2026. I contacted the Todd Miner law firm the same day of the accident. Within 5 minutes Todd Miner was on the phone with me and took almost 30 minutes out of his Saturday to speak to me about the accident. Following my conversation with Todd I had the opportunity to work with Mark Ahrens and Stephanie Velez and they went above and beyond to get everything taken care of. They answered all of my questions, kept me informed with updates, and streamlined the entire process in a way I wouldn't be able to do myself. Dealing with insurance companies can be a complex and difficult process that takes considerable time and effort. Mark and Stephanie handled everything and allowed me to focus on recovering from my injuries. I'm thankful for their help and while I hope to never be in another accident again, if I am, I wont hesitate to reach out to them again.
I simply went to Todd Miner's website and competed a text message on my situation. Todd (himself) called me and spent 20 minutes discussing my situation even though he isn't representing me. That is unbelievable that in today's society someone is actually willing to help and listen!! If there was a 10 star rating I would give it to him. Easily understood and the advice was solid. Thanks Todd for your time and help! It was truly needed.
Todd Minor is a stand up man, he's honest, fair, very protective of his clients and professional. I had a case with him regarding my minor & during the inquiry process he reached out himself multiple times assuring me that we would be in good hands & I'll just say this he himself holds good on his promises & commitment.
I was referred to Tod Minor Law by a friend of mine, and was very glad i followed through with them for my auto accident claim. Chris was the head communicator for my claim and arranged everything for my rehab and chiropractor appointments. highly reccomend!
I contacted this law office after I was involved in an accident, and I’m very glad I did. From the beginning, everyone was attentive and patient, taking the time to listen carefully to my situation. The paralegal, Stephanie, was especially kind and kept in regular communication with me throughout the process. Both she and the attorney, Mark, clearly explained what to expect, which helped ease my worries. Since this was my first injury case in Florida, their guidance made a big difference and allowed me to focus on my recovery. My case did take some time, but in the end, I was able to receive compensation for the accident. When I met Mark in person, he was a true gentleman who genuinely cares about his clients. I highly recommend this law office!
I am giving Todd Miner Law five stars – the most one can receive in these reviews. If it were possible, I would score his firm much higher, based on my personal experience with him and his team. Without going into great detail, I was struck by a car and my left leg was injured. After being treated at the local ER, along with other instructions, I was advised to follow-up with my Primary Care Physician. It was when I attempted to make that appointment that I quickly learned my doctor, and many others, will not treat vehicle accident patients. This made getting the treatment I needed after leaving the ER a struggle at best. That’s when I decided I needed help, and I reached out to Todd Miner’s office. In less than 30 minutes, Todd Miner himself called me. He listened to me and then told me he and his team would take good care of me … and they did. I think it was that afternoon that Mark Ahrens, Esq. reached out to me. In less than a week, thanks to their help and intervention, I was seen by a Physician who ordered the tests necessary to determine exactly what was wrong with my leg and what treatment I needed. Unfortunately, the test results showed surgery was required. Throughout this process, surgery, weeks of physical therapy, follow-up appointments, etc. Marc and his team were with me every step of the way. My well-being and recovery were as much a priority for them as it was for me. They consistently communicated with me - keeping me updated and informed as my case moved forward. I also have to commend Stephanie Velez-Raghunandan who works with Marc. She too was in constant communication with me and quick to respond to any questions or concerns I had. Todd Miner and his team exceeded my expectations. Calling his office was the best decision I could have made for myself and my family. I highly recommend Todd Miner Law. Todd and his team really are “on your side” and will take great care of you.
Hi, I have to say that Mark Ahrens and Stephanie, his assistant, were excellent helping me with my settlement. They fought hard for me for which I am grateful and I highly recommend them.
Stephanie and Mark were great. They worked extremely hard on my case and kept me informed every step of the way..
Trustworthy, honest, experienced. Communication at the start was lacking, but toward end it got better.
As a criminal defense lawyer who owns his own firm, I have referred many of my clients to Todd Miner who needed a personal injury attorney. Todd is an amazing lawyer and has an incredible staff. His office personnel is extremely friendly and professional. What I respect about Todd the most is I can text or call him on a Saturday afternoon, And he will immediately respond. He will call the potential clients himself right away and tell thoroughly evaluate their cases. I highly recommend him and his team of exceptionally talented lawyers and support staff!!!
Mark Ahrens at Todd Miner Law Firm was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and professional throughout the entire process. He took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly and made sure I understood every step. I truly appreciated his expertise and would highly recommend him to anyone in need of legal assistance.
My experience in March 2025 with Attorney Todd Miner was very good! His staff, Jennifer was always supportive and helpful, eager to answer questions or concerns. I would highly recommend this attorney office. Blessings continuously to this Attorney office and staff.
Thank you for helping me in the past with the employer who left me in the hospital injured, alone, and unwilling to take care of my hospital bills.
I am writing this review of Todd Miner Law so the public can get a perspective of an actual client’s experience following a car accident. My wife and I were hit by a driver resulting in our car rolling over two times. Medical questions aside, the trauma of the legal aspects after this accident were troubling. Being new to the state of Florida, we had no legal representation. One only has to watch television to see the various alternatives that are available to you. That being said, Todd Miner was the one that showed an interest in assisting us no matter what the possible outcome might be. To be honest, we were sort of lost in all the details that started to arise and needed help. Todd Miner came to the rescue. Attorney, Mark Aherns and his assistant, Stephanie Valez-Raghunandan were terrific in handling all the details that needed solved. My wife and I are grateful for their assistance; without them we would never have been able to reach this point of conclusion. Thank you, Todd, Mark, and Stephanie. We recommend them highly to anyone in need.

How Can an Orlando FedEx Truck Accident Lawyer at Todd Miner Law Help You?

FedEx 2At Todd Miner Law, our legal team provides more than standard representation. We bring deep experience in trucking accident litigation and a track record of success against major freight carriers like FedEx. Our attorneys know the trucking regulations in Florida, move quickly to secure critical records, and work with top accident reconstruction experts to build a solid case on your behalf.

Here’s why working with a Fedex truck accident attorney from our firm gives you a real advantage:

  • Decades of Experience Handling Major Trucking Claims

We’ve spent decades fighting trucking companies and their insurers, so we know their tactics inside out. FedEx truck accident cases involve specific regulations and hidden corporate defenses, but our firm knows how to defeat them. From proving liability to exposing policy loopholes, we handle the legal obstacles you’d never see coming.

Because of this experience, our team works faster and smarter than firms unfamiliar with truck accident complexities. We know what evidence matters most and how to challenge every weak excuse the other side tries. That’s the kind of strategic advantage you need after a serious truck crash.

  • Immediate Access to Industry Experts and Investigators

Winning a FedEx truck accident case demands expert evidence — and our lawyers secure it without delay. Our team works directly with trusted investigators, accident reconstruction specialists, and leading medical experts to strengthen your claim from day one. This swift, coordinated approach builds a solid case before the trucking company even reacts.

Moreover, our FedEX truck accident attorneys move fast to preserve critical evidence that can disappear within hours. From black box data to skid mark measurements and driver logs, they capture every detail. You’ll never have to rely on a trucking company’s version of events when our team is protecting your rights.

  • Case-Specific Legal Strategy

No two Fedex truck accidents are alike, and neither are our legal strategies. At Todd Miner Law, your case receives a custom, detailed plan tailored to your injuries, evidence, and case goals. This personal approach improves your odds of securing maximum compensation for medical bills, lost income, and emotional suffering.

Furthermore, adapt our legal strategy as your case progresses. If new evidence surfaces or the insurance company changes its approach, we shift strategy immediately. That flexibility ensures your case remains strong, no matter how complicated or contested it may become during the legal process.

  • Aggressive, Trial-Ready Representation

Insurers know we don’t settle for less. At Todd Miner Law, our attorneys prepare every FedEx truck accident claim for court from day one. This aggressive, trial-ready approach forces insurance companies to take your case seriously and avoid lowball settlement negotiations, because they know we’re not bluffing.

Additionally, our FedEX attorneys build solid legal arguments supported by expert testimony and strong evidence. This pressure often drives better settlement offers and positions you for a courtroom victory if needed. It’s one reason so many clients trust us after serious trucking crashes.

FedEx and insurers won’t settle easily; they have teams ready to fight hard. You need an equally skilled FedEX accidents lawyer on your side to fight back and protect your rights.

What Should You Do Immediately After a Truck Accident in Orlando?

First, call 911 to report the crash. Then, see a doctor, even if you think you’re okay, as some injuries take time to appear. Next, file a police report to document the incident. Before you leave the scene, make sure to collect evidence by taking photos and collecting contact information from the driver and any witnesses.

One wrong move after a truck accident can cost you. That’s why it’s important to speak with a trusted truck accident lawyer right away. At Todd Miner Law, we take over the stressful paperwork, deal directly with the insurance companies, and build a strong case focused on getting you the maximum compensation so you can fully focus on your recovery.

Mistakes That Can Hurt Your Truck Accident Case

What you do right after a truck accident can work for or against you. Insurance companies look for anything they can use to reduce or deny your claim. To protect yourself, you need to avoid the most common mistakes.

  • Leaving the scene before the police arrive. Always wait for law enforcement. If you leave early, your side of the story may never be recorded, and that can weaken your case.
  • Skipping medical treatment. Go to a doctor immediately. Even if you feel fine, internal injuries can go unnoticed without a medical exam. A delayed treatment gives insurers a reason to question your claim.
  • Admitting fault at the scene. Choose your words carefully. Saying something like “I’m sorry” may seem polite, but it can be used against you as an admission of guilt.
  • Failing to document the crash. Take clear photos of the vehicles, injuries, road conditions, and any damage. Without visual proof, it becomes harder to support your version of events.
  • Not collecting contact information. Get the truck driver’s name, license number, insurance details, and employer information. Speak with any witnesses and save their contact details as well.

Should You Speak to the Insurance Company Without a Lawyer?

It’s best to consult a truck injury lawyer before speaking with the insurance company. Insurance adjusters are skilled at getting statements that can minimize your claim. Even simple words can be twisted to reduce the payout or shift blame, potentially harming your case.

Here is why you should avoid speaking to insurers alone:

  • Misleading Statements: Insurance adjusters may distort your statements to make it seem like you share some responsibility or downplay the extent of your injuries, which can significantly harm your claim.
  • Pressure to Settle Quickly: They may offer a fast settlement that seems fair but rarely covers all your medical costs or lost wages in the long run.
  • Complex Legal Tactics: Insurers use complex tactics to pressure you into accepting less compensation. Without proper legal help, you risk being taken advantage of.

Don’t let the insurance company take control of your case. Speak with a truck accident attorney at Todd Miner Law before saying a word to them. Call 407-894-1480 for a free consultation and get the legal protection you need from day one.

Truck Accident Settlements and Verdicts We Won

  • $1.2 Million Settlement: We fought hard to secure a $1.2 million settlement for a client injured in a serious truck collision. After undergoing multiple surgeries and facing a long recovery, we held the trucking company accountable. We secured compensation to cover extensive medical costs, lost income, and the pain caused by the accident.
  • $850,000 Verdict: We won an $850,000 verdict for a family who tragically lost a loved one in a truck accident. By proving the trucking company’s negligence, we ensured they received the financial support needed for funeral expenses, lost wages, and the emotional impact caused by this tragic event.
  • $500,000 Settlement: Our team secured a $500,000 settlement for a client who was rear-ended by a truck. Despite facing opposition from the insurance company, we provided undeniable evidence to cover the client’s medical treatment, lost wages, and property damage, giving them the financial security to focus on their recovery.

Trucking companies and insurers have teams of lawyers. You deserve one too. Call Todd Miner Law at 407-894-1480 and work with trial attorneys with proven success against major trucking companies and insurers.

Can a Trucking Company Be Held Responsible for the Crash?

Semi Truck Crashes Into Car in Orlando – Know Your Legal Rights (1)Yes, a trucking company can be held responsible for the crash. These cases often involve poor vehicle maintenance, unqualified drivers, or pressure to meet unsafe delivery schedules.

In Florida, commercial carriers must carry a minimum of $750,000 in liability insurance, and up to $5 million when transporting hazardous materials.

At Todd Miner Law, our Orlando truck accident attorneys examine maintenance records, driver logs, and black box data to identify safety violations. If the company failed to follow the law, you might have a strong case to hold the trucking company accountable for your injuries.

Can You File a Claim Against Fedex as a Pedestrian?

Yes, if you were hit by a FedEx truck while walking, you have the right to file a claim. These trucks are commercial vehicles, which means FedEx is typically responsible if its employee caused the crash. However, if the driver was an independent contractor, liability may work differently.

To protect your claim, be sure to:

  • Seek immediate medical attention
  • Report the accident
  • Collect evidence like photos, videos, and witness statements

Since FedEx cases involve multiple layers of liability, it’s best to work with an experienced FedEx accidents lawyer who can guide you through every step.

How Do Expert Witnesses Help Prove Fault?

Expert witnesses play a key role in proving fault after a FedEx truck accident. They examine crash reports, medical records, and scene photos to connect your injuries directly to the collision. Their insight simplifies complex facts and strengthens your claim with clear, credible evidence.

In many cases, experts help reveal:

  • Driver errors
  • Poor vehicle maintenance
  • Violations of trucking regulations

They also explain how each of these failures contributed to your injuries. Since trucking claims involve detailed laws and high-stakes negotiations, expert analysis gives your case a powerful advantage.

Can I Sue FedEx If the Driver Was an Independent Contractor?

Yes, you can sue FedEx even when the driver is an independent contractor, though it’s legally complex. Independent contractors typically bear responsibility for their actions, but FedEx might still be liable if it failed to hire or train the driver correctly.

Moreover, liability can arise if the contractor acted within the scope of their FedEx agreement. Given the complexity of these cases, it’s crucial to have an experienced Fedex truck accident attorney assess your claim. A lawyer will ensure you understand your rights and seek the best compensation for your injuries.

Can FedEx Be Sued for Negligent Truck Maintenance?

Yes, you can sue FedEx if poor truck maintenance caused your injury, even when the driver wasn’t at fault. Through vicarious liability, FedEx may still be held responsible for issues tied to its operations. For example, if the company failed to inspect or repair the truck, it could be legally accountable.

Additionally, mechanical failures like brake issues or worn tires often lead to serious crashes. In these cases, your claim may focus on FedEx’s negligence rather than driver error.

What Federal Trucking Laws Can Help Prove Your Case?

Truck Accident Scene Investigation in Orlando – Legal Help Starts Here (1)Federal trucking laws set clear rules for how long drivers can stay on the road, how often trucks must be inspected, and how maintenance is recorded. When companies break these rules, it strengthens your case by showing clear negligence.

Key violations often include:

  • Driving beyond legal hours-of-service limits
  • Skipping required safety inspections
  • Ignoring brake, tire, or light maintenance
  • Falsifying driver logs
  • Operating trucks that fail to meet safety standards

Speak with an Orlando truck accident lawyer at Todd Miner Law. We know how to uncover federal violations, preserve key evidence, and build a case that holds the right people accountable.

Who Pays When Multiple Insurance Policies Are Involved?

Legal Strategy Session – Orlando Truck Accident Lawyers in Action (1)In many truck accidents, multiple insurance policies come into play — including coverage for the driver, the trucking company, the vehicle owner, and third-party contractors. As a result, each insurer often tries to shift blame or limit its financial responsibility, leaving you stuck in the middle.

At Todd Miner Law, our truck accident lawyers:

  • Sort through every policy
  • Calculate the full value of your damages
  • Coordinate direct negotiations with all involved parties

However, if any insurer delays, denies coverage, or disputes liability, we respond with a legal strategy designed to recover the compensation you rightly deserve.

How Do We Handle Commercial Trucking Insurance Disputes?

We understand the strategies insurers use to avoid paying claims, and we take decisive measures to ensure you receive the full compensation. What Are the Leading Causes of FedEx Truck Accidents in Orlando, Florida?

FedEx truck accidents in Orlando often happen because of strict delivery deadlines and risky road conditions. Drivers face constant pressure to deliver fast, sometimes without enough rest or caution. Combined with unpredictable traffic, poor weather, and mechanical problems, these factors make serious accidents on busy Orlando streets far too common.

The following are the leading causes of these accidents and why they often cause serious harm.

  • Driver Fatigue

Fatigued drivers pose a serious risk, especially on Orlando’s busy highways. FedEx drivers often face long shifts with limited rest, which slows reaction times and impairs judgment. This danger grows during overnight routes and tight delivery deadlines. When rest is skipped, the likelihood of severe accidents rises sharply. Unfortunately, many companies still overlook these critical safety concerns, putting everyone on the road at risk.

  • Distracted Driving

Distractions behind the wheel cause countless FedEx truck crashes in Orlando. Drivers often check their phones or navigation apps. Moreover, eating, drinking, or adjusting music pulls focus from the road. Even a quick glance away can cause a devastating accident. In a city full of busy intersections and sudden stops, there’s simply no room for these dangerous habits.

  • Speeding Under Pressure

Strict delivery deadlines frequently pressure FedEx drivers to exceed safe speeds, risking serious accidents. Driving too fast reduces reaction time and makes it harder for large commercial trucks to stop safely. In Orlando’s heavy traffic, even a moment’s delay can trigger a serious crash. Unfortunately, strict schedules too often take priority over safety.

  • Mechanical Failures

Poor truck maintenance remains a hidden yet serious cause of FedEx accidents in Orlando. Faulty brakes, worn tires, or broken lights can easily lead to devastating crashes. Because large trucks demand flawless equipment to operate safely, even minor issues turn dangerous fast. When companies neglect inspections or delay repairs, innocent drivers unfortunately face the consequences.

  • Improper Cargo Loading

Unsecured or poorly balanced cargo makes FedEx trucks unstable on Orlando’s roads. Shifting loads throw off balance and increase rollover risks. Sudden stops or turns become dangerous with badly loaded trucks. Many accidents happen because packages weren’t safely secured. Proper loading saves lives, but is often overlooked to save time.

  • Inexperienced Drivers

New, undertrained drivers often lack the skills to handle large trucks in busy city traffic safely. Orlando’s busy roads and unpredictable weather make this challenge even tougher. As a result, inexperienced drivers are more likely to panic or make poor decisions behind the wheel. When companies cut corners on training, it’s you and your loved ones who ultimately face the risk.

  • Poor Weather and Unsafe Roads

Rain, fog, and slick roads make driving dangerous for everyone, especially FedEx drivers navigating Orlando’s streets. Sudden storms create serious hazards in seconds, while potholes, uneven lanes, and busy construction zones add to the challenge. Even experienced FedEx drivers struggle in these conditions. Unfortunately, strict delivery deadlines rarely pause for bad weather, increasing the risks you face on the road.

Don’t let negligence on the road go unaccounted for. Our Fedex attorneys in Orlando understand the complexities of these cases. Contact us now at 407-894-1480 to protect your rights and secure the compensation you deserve.

These areas mix fast traffic, complex lane changes, and heavy pedestrian crossings. When you combine that with tight delivery schedules, accidents can happen fast. Knowing where these spots are keeps you safer.

What to Do After a FedEx Truck Accident?

After a FedEx truck accident, your safety comes first. Acting fast helps protect your health and legal rights. Take steps to document the scene, gather evidence, and avoid mistakes that could hurt your claim. Here’s a clear, step-by-step guide to help you handle the situation the right way.

Step 1: Call 911 Immediately

The first thing you should do is call 911 to report the accident. Even if injuries seem minor, having law enforcement document the crash ensures an official record exists. This will help your claim later.

Step 2: Move to a Safe Spot

If it’s safe to do so, move your vehicle and yourself out of traffic. Avoid standing near moving vehicles. Keeping a safe distance prevents additional harm while you wait for emergency responders to arrive.

Step 3: Get Medical Attention Right Away

Even if you feel fine, seek medical care immediately. Many serious injuries, like whiplash or internal damage, don’t show symptoms right away. A medical record strengthens your case and protects your health long term.

Step 4: Exchange Driver and Vehicle Information

Before leaving the scene, collect the FedEx driver’s name, phone number, insurance details, and the truck’s license plate. Don’t rely on the police alone for this. Having this info makes filing claims much easier later.

Step 5: Take Photos and Video of the Scene

Use your phone to capture clear photos and videos of the damage, road conditions, and visible injuries. These visuals often become crucial evidence, especially when liability is in question during insurance negotiations.

Step 6: Gather Witness Information

If anyone saw the accident happen, politely ask for their name and contact details. Witness statements support your version of events and can be valuable when proving fault or defending against false claims.

Step 7: Avoid Admitting Fault or Giving Statements

Stay calm and never admit fault or apologize at the scene. Avoid detailed conversations with FedEx representatives or insurance adjusters until you’ve spoken with a truck accident attorney who can guide you safely.

Step 8: Contact a Fedex Truck Accident Lawyer Immediately

Finally, reach out to an experienced truck accident attorney as soon as possible. They’ll secure crucial evidence like dashcam footage, accident reports, and driver logs — and handle aggressive insurance tactics for you.

If you’re unsure what to do after a FedEx truck accident, you’re not alone. These moments can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to face them on your own. Reach out to Todd Miner Law at 407-894-1480 for clear advice and strong support every step of the way.

How to Determine If You Have a Valid FedEx Truck Accident Claim?

You have a valid FedEx truck accident claim if you can prove that the FedEx driver’s actions caused your injuries or property damage. Key factors include accurate details about the accident, like the date, time, and location, and clear evidence of damage or injury. Additionally, it’s important that the FedEx driver was at fault or negligent. Meeting Florida’s claim-filing deadlines is crucial to keep your case valid.

However, some claims get complicated, especially if fault is shared or if pre-existing injuries exist. In those cases, your compensation might be reduced. That’s why an experienced attorney can review your situation, help gather evidence, and confirm whether you have a strong claim. They ensure you meet all legal requirements and fight for your deserved compensation.

Who Is Liable to Pay for Your Damages in a FedEx Truck Accident?

After a crash with a FedEx truck, several parties could be responsible for your damages. It’s not always just the driver or FedEx itself. Other at-fault parties, like the truck’s manufacturer or a maintenance company, may also share liability. Knowing this is key to getting the compensation you deserve.

When FedEx Is Liable for a Truck Accident

FedEx is often the first party held responsible when its driver causes a crash. Through a legal rule called vicarious liability, companies like FedEx can be held accountable for their employees’ actions while they’re working. However, FedEx may also be directly liable if its own negligence contributed to the incident.

FedEx can be directly responsible if:

  • Hired a driver with a history of unsafe driving.
  • Failed to train their drivers properly on safety and regulations.
  • Ignored safety inspections, truck maintenance, or road safety rules.
  • Pressured drivers with unrealistic deadlines, causing dangerous driving behavior.

When the FedEx Driver is Personally Liable

The driver may be personally responsible if their reckless actions caused the accident. This includes speeding, distracted driving, running red lights, or driving under the influence. While FedEx is typically on the hook through vicarious liability, there are situations where you might need to sue the driver directly, especially if they acted outside the scope of their job.

For example, if drivers use the truck for personal errands and cause a crash, they may be personally liable without FedEx’s protection.

Other Parties That Might Share Liability

Besides FedEx and its driver, other businesses might be responsible too. Many commercial trucking accidents involve multiple companies that handle different parts of the operation. Liability depends on the details of what went wrong.

Potentially liable third parties include:

  • Truck Manufacturer: If a vehicle defect, like faulty brakes or a steering failure, caused the crash.
  • Maintenance Company: If improper repairs or skipped inspections led to mechanical failure.
  • Cargo Loaders: If unsecured, uneven, or overloaded cargo caused the truck to lose control.

If you’re confused about who’s liable, let us help you sort it out. Contact our team today for a free case review — we’ll break down your legal options, uncover every liable party, and fight to get you the maximum compensation you deserve. What Federal and Florida Trucking Regulations Affect Your FedEx Truck Accident Case?

When a FedEx truck is involved in a serious accident, specific trucking laws, both federal and Florida state regulations, come into play. These rules are designed to keep roads safe, and when violated, they can become crucial evidence in your personal injury claim.

Understanding how these regulations intersect with your case can make the difference between a lowball settlement and the full compensation you deserve.

1. Federal Trucking Laws That Apply to FedEx Drivers

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) governs commercial carriers like FedEx when they operate across state lines. Their regulations cover everything from driver work hours to vehicle safety standards.

Key federal rules include:

  • Hours of Service (HOS) Limits

To prevent driver fatigue, federal law limits a FedEx driver to 11 hours of driving after 10 consecutive hours off duty. Violations are frequent causes of trucking accidents and powerful evidence of negligence.

  • Vehicle Maintenance and Inspections

Every FedEx truck must undergo regular inspections and scheduled maintenance. If a mechanical failure, like bad brakes or worn tires, contributes to your crash, it may indicate ignored safety obligations.

  • Cargo Securement Requirements

Federal law demands that all cargo be properly secured to avoid shifting, falling, or spilling on the road. Improperly loaded or restrained packages on a FedEx truck can turn into deadly hazards.

  • Driver Qualification Standards

Every FedEx driver must hold a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and meet strict qualification guidelines. An accident caused by an unqualified or poorly trained driver can expose FedEx to liability.

2. State-Specific Trucking Regulations

Alongside federal laws, Florida enforces its own set of trucking rules, especially for vehicles operating within the state’s borders. These often overlap but may impose additional obligations on FedEx drivers.

Important Florida regulations include:

  • No-Fault Insurance Rules

Florida operates under a no-fault system, meaning your own insurance covers medical expenses first. However, if your injuries are serious, permanent, or involve wrongful death, you can step outside this system and file a lawsuit against FedEx directly.

  • Driving on Hazardous Roads or in  Weather Conditions

Under Florida law, commercial drivers must adjust their speed and driving behavior to suit changing road, traffic, and weather conditions. Failing to do so can be considered negligence and may support your claim.

  • Intrastate Hours of Service (HOS) Rules

For FedEx trucks operating only within Florida, state law limits drivers to:

  • 12 hours of driving after 10 hours off duty
  • 16 total hours on duty within a 24-hour period
  • 70 hours on duty over any consecutive 7-day period

Breaking these restrictions makes it easier to hold FedEx responsible if driver fatigue played a role in your accident.

Why These Regulations Matter to Your Case?

Violations of federal and Florida trucking regulations directly affect your FedEx truck accident case by helping prove negligence and liability. These laws are in place to protect drivers like you and ensure commercial vehicles operate safely. When FedEx or its drivers fail to follow these rules, it increases the risk of serious accidents and legal responsibility shifts in your favor.

As a result, showing that safety regulations were ignored makes it easier to hold FedEx accountable for your injuries and damages. This can strengthen your claim for compensation covering medical bills, lost income, and pain and suffering. That’s why it’s essential to investigate these violations early in your case — they often reveal crucial evidence that can turn the outcome in your favor.

That’s why you need a team that knows trucking laws and how to expose violations. If FedEx broke the rules, we’ll find out and hold them accountable. Our Fedex truck injury lawyer will fight for the full compensation you deserve.

What Does FedEx’s Commercial Insurance Cover?

FedEx’s commercial insurance covers accidents, injuries, and property damage involving its trucks. If you’ve been hurt or your property was damaged in a crash with a FedEx truck, this policy could help pay for your losses.

Types of Coverage in FedEx’s Commercial Policy

FedEx’s commercial insurance covers more than just its trucks. It protects the company, its drivers, and anyone harmed in an accident involving a FedEx vehicle. If you’re hurt, your car is damaged, or your belongings are lost because of a FedEx delivery, this insurance may help cover those costs.

Here’s a breakdown of what this policy typically includes:

  • Injuries to other drivers, passengers, or pedestrians caused by a FedEx truck.
  • Property damage, like damage to your car, fence, or building.
  • Medical bills and lost wages if you can’t work after the accident.
  • Damage to, or loss of, packages during delivery.
  • Costs for lost, stolen, or damaged packages while in FedEx’s care.

This coverage applies to all FedEx vehicles, including Linehaul trucks and Independent Service Providers (ISPs). So no matter what kind of FedEx truck you’re dealing with, these protections might cover your losses.

Coverage Limits and Gaps to Watch For

FedEx’s commercial insurance might seem solid, but it doesn’t always cover everything you’ll need. After a bad crash, bills can pile up fast, and you might be surprised how quickly those insurance limits run out. Some things aren’t covered at all, and delays happen more often than you’d expect.

Here’s where people usually run into problems:

  • Medical bills can get so high that they blow past the policy limits.
  • Certain things, like pain and suffering, might not be covered.
  • Claims for property damage or lost packages sometimes get delayed.
  • If the driver’s an Independent Service Provider (ISP), their insurance could be lower.

Don’t try to figure this out alone. Truck accident cases involve complex insurance rules and big companies protecting themselves. Contact us today for a free case review. We’ll break down coverage, fight insurance delays, and get you the maximum compensation you deserve.

What Are Common Strategies Insurers Use to Minimize Payouts?

Common strategies insurers use to minimize payouts include delaying claims, denying responsibility, and offering low settlements. These tactics aim to reduce the money they pay you, making it harder to get full compensation for your injuries and losses. Understanding these tactics helps you avoid costly mistakes. Knowing how insurers operate allows you to prepare, stay patient, and push back when needed.

To protect yourself and your claim, it’s important to recognize these tactics early. Here’s how insurers commonly try to minimize payouts and what that means for you:

  • Delaying the Claims Process

One common tactic insurers use is to drag out your claim for as long as possible. They request excessive paperwork, take a long time to respond, and create hurdles that slow everything down. This can leave you waiting months, sometimes years, for the money you need to cover medical bills and daily expenses.

These delays aren’t accidental — they’re designed to wear you down. The longer you wait, the more frustrated and desperate you may feel, which sometimes leads people to settle for less just to get money faster. You shouldn’t have to accept less because the insurance company is stalling.

  • Denying Responsibility

FedEx’s insurance may outright deny fault for the accident. They might blame you or claim the crash was caused by another driver or external factors. By refusing to admit responsibility, they hope to avoid paying anything at all.

When fault is denied, your fight for compensation becomes much harder. You must prove the accident wasn’t your fault, which can mean complicated investigations and long legal battles. This tactic increases your stress and can delay or reduce the compensation you receive.

  • Offering Quick, Low Settlements

Insurance companies often offer a fast, low settlement soon after the accident. This offer might sound like an easy way to get money, but it usually falls far short of what you truly need. The early payout often ignores future medical costs, lost wages, and other damages.

Accepting a quick settlement may close the case forever, preventing you from claiming additional money later. It’s a trap many fall into because they want to move on quickly, but it can cost you thousands down the road.

Don’t let insurance companies take advantage of you. Contact us today at 407-894-1480 to schedule a consultation.

How Does an Orlando FedEx Truck Accident Lawyer Prove Fault?

An Orlando FedEx accident lawyer proves fault by uncovering mistakes FedEx or its driver made that caused your crash. Through a careful investigation, they gather solid proof, connect it to your injuries, and demand fair compensation.

Here’s how your legal team at Todd Miner Law protects your rights and builds a winning case:

Step 1: Collect Clear, Solid Evidence

Everything starts with evidence. Your lawyer gathers facts to tell the full story of what happened. This includes crucial details that build a clear, undeniable picture of the accident and its causes. This includes:

  • Police reports and crash scene photos: These help reconstruct the accident and identify traffic violations or unsafe conditions.
  • Witness statements: Eyewitness accounts confirm dangerous behaviors like speeding or unsafe lane changes.
  • Medical records: These link your injuries directly to the crash, confirming when and how harm occurred.
  • Maintenance records and driver logs: These expose problems like missed vehicle checks or hours-of-service violations that may have contributed to the crash.

Step 2: Pinpoint Negligence and Rule Violations

With evidence in hand, your lawyer analyzes it for safety failures and careless actions. This is where the fault is uncovered. Common issues they look for include:

  • Speeding or reckless driving captured in crash reports or witness statements
  • Driving too long without the required rest indicated by the logbook violations
  • Mechanical failures due to missed inspections are found in maintenance records
  • Unsecured or shifting cargo that created dangerous conditions during transport

Each issue links FedEx’s failure to uphold safety standards directly to your accident. This strengthens your case by clearly showing avoidable mistakes that put your safety at risk.

Step 3: Connect Driver Mistakes to Your Injuries

It’s not enough to simply prove FedEx or its driver made dangerous mistakes. To win your case, those mistakes must be directly tied to the injuries you’ve suffered. Our lawyers do this by carefully reviewing:

  • Medical evaluations and emergency records: These documents show the immediate injuries you sustained and how they relate to the crash itself, from fractures and head trauma to internal injuries and emotional shock.
  • Ongoing treatment notes: Follow-up visits, physical therapy records, and specialist evaluations reveal the lasting impact of those injuries on your daily life and long-term health.
  • Expert witness reports: Medical experts explain how the crash caused specific injuries, while reconstruction specialists demonstrate how FedEx’s errors led to the collision. Together, these professionals strengthen your claim with authoritative, fact-based conclusions.

By linking every mistake directly to your physical, emotional, and financial hardships, your lawyer builds a case that demands real accountability — and fair compensation.

Step 4: Fight for Maximum Compensation

Once the fault and the connection to your injuries are clear, the next step is pursuing the full financial recovery you’re entitled to. This covers every way the accident disrupted your life, including:

  • Medical bills now and in the future: From emergency room care to surgeries, medication, therapy, and ongoing treatments, every healthcare expense tied to your injuries is included.
  • Lost income from missed work: If your injuries kept you from your job, whether for days, weeks, or permanently, your claim accounts for the earnings you’ve lost and potential future income.
  • Pain, suffering, and emotional distress: Beyond financial losses, your lawyer seeks compensation for the physical pain, mental anguish, and emotional trauma the accident caused.
  • Long-term care, therapy, or rehabilitation: If your injuries require ongoing care, home modifications, or assistive devices, those future costs are calculated into your claim.

If you’ve been injured in a FedEx truck accident, don’t wait. Contact Todd Miner Law for a free, no-obligation consultation and find out how we can help you prove fault and fight for the compensation you deserve.

What Determines the Value of a FedEx Truck Accident Claim?

Several important details shape the final settlement amount after a FedEx truck accident. Insurance companies evaluate these factors carefully when deciding on a payout. Here’s a breakdown of what influences your compensation:

  • The Extent of Your Injuries

Serious injuries typically mean larger settlements. Victims suffering from traumatic brain injuries, fractures, spinal damage, or permanent disability often secure higher payouts due to the lasting impact on their health and quality of life.

  • Financial Losses & Emotional Toll

Your claim should include reimbursement for hospital bills, rehabilitation costs, medications, lost wages, and any future loss of earning capacity. Additionally, it factors in pain, emotional distress, mental anguish, and how your injuries have affected your daily life.

  • Vehicle and Property Damage

You’re entitled to compensation for the repair or replacement of your vehicle, along with any personal items inside it at the time of the crash, such as electronics, eyewear, or other valuables.

  • Establishing Fault and Responsibility

The stronger the evidence showing FedEx or its driver was at fault, the greater your chances of receiving fair compensation. Police reports, eyewitness accounts, and video footage can play a vital role in proving liability.

  • Available Insurance Coverage

FedEx carries substantial commercial liability coverage, often providing at least $1 million in coverage per accident. The final settlement amount, however, depends on how damages are assessed and whether multiple victims are involved in the claim.

  • The Advantage of Having a Lawyer

Experienced truck accident attorneys know how to negotiate with large corporations and insurance carriers. Having skilled legal representation can significantly improve your settlement outcome by ensuring all damages are properly documented and aggressively pursued.

Insurance companies often undervalue your pain, suffering, and future care costs. At Todd Miner Law, we aggressively fight to ensure your claim fully reflects all your losses and rightful compensation. Reach out today and get the maximum compensation you deserve for your pain, suffering, and losses.

How Much Are FedEx Truck Accident Settlements in Orlando?

FedEx truck accident settlements in Orlando typically range from $15,000 to $1 million or more, depending on the circumstances of each case. Accidents causing minor injuries result in lower settlements, while serious or life-altering injuries can lead to six- or seven-figure payouts.

Florida Laws That Can Impact Your Settlement

If you’re hurt in a FedEx truck accident in Florida, there’s no cap on compensation for medical bills, lost wages, or pain and suffering under Florida Statutes § 768.28. You have the right to seek full recovery for all your losses after a serious crash.

However, punitive damages are limited by Florida Statutes § 768.73. These damages punish reckless or intentional behavior and are capped at three times the compensatory damages or $500,000, whichever is greater.

No two cases are alike, so if you’re curious about the potential value of your FedEx accident claim, contact us for a free case consultation with our trusted Orlando truck accident attorneys.

What Is the Statute of Limitations for Truck Accident Claims in Florida?

The statute of limitations for FedEx accident claims in Florida is generally 2 years from the date of the accident. This deadline applies to personal injury, property damage, and wrongful death claims. However, if you were under 18 at the time of the crash, the statute of limitations may be delayed until you turn 18, giving you additional time to file a claim.

Filing your claim early is essential to protect your legal rights and preserve vital evidence. In rare cases, the statute may be paused or “tolled.” This happens if a defendant cannot be served because they are out of state, using a false identity, incapacitated, or if arbitration is ongoing. These situations delay the time you have to file your claim, but they are exceptions rather than the rule.

How Long Does It Take to Settle a FedEx Truck Accident Claim?

Settling a FedEx truck accident claim usually takes anywhere from a few weeks to several months, depending on how complex your case is. FedEx typically aims to resolve claims within 7 to 21 business days after receiving your claim and all necessary documents. However, if further investigation or negotiations are needed, the process can take longer. For example, cases involving multiple parties or serious injuries often require more time to settle.

Furthermore, several factors may influence how quickly your claim moves forward. Court backlogs can delay cases that go to litigation, while negotiations with insurance companies may take time to reach a fair settlement.

That’s why at Todd Miner Law, we stay proactive in managing your case and provide regular updates, ensuring you’re never left wondering about your claim’s progress or next steps.
